✔ KHOL DRUM

Khol is a two-sided drum used in northern and eastern India for accompaniment with devotional music (bhakti). The leather heads are in two sizes for high & low pitch. The Shiny Golden Brass (3.5 KG Approximately) body on this two-headed drum makes it much beautiful, stronger and durable than the traditional clay bodied khol. Both heads held in place and tuned by strap tension. It originates from the Indian state West Bengal. In addition, it has uses in Bengali folk and semi-classical music.
In ISKCON (Hare Rama! Hare Krishna!) and in Gaudiya Vaishnava societies, the khol is the primary drum for kirtan and bhajan.
